Pandemic shutdown opens doors for CorelDraw customers

Corel offers increased access to CorelDraw cloud and collaboration services.

Corel introduced new networked capabilities with CorelDraw 2019. The company now says they’re making some temporary changes to enable people to work with CorelDraw from home through May 31st. The company has offers for individual users and small businesses as well as for the enterprise and students.

Individual users & small businesses

CorelDraw Graphics Suite subscribers and perpetual license owners of any version can now install a business license on a second at-home machine eliminating the need to buy second license or subscription to support a temporary work-from-home setup. You may use your current serial number and installation URL or DVD. There’s no need to contact Corel.
Through May 31st, all users with CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2019 and CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2020 also get access to the new web-based collaboration features of CorelDraw.app. Users’ accounts have been updated automatically to make it simple to stay connected with colleagues, team members, and clients. Corporate license accounts with CorelSure maintenance

Companies that offer CorelDraw to their employees through corporate licenses will be able to offer employees a CorelDraw Suite business license for their at-home machines. Corel will provide IT administrators with instructions on implementing the program, so employees who are interested should contact their IT departments to get up and running.
Licensing customers will also receive CorelDraw.app Enterprise accounts for their entire organization at no additional cost. This will extend the ability to share work for approval or create work in the cloud to employees wherever they are. IT administrators will automatically receive instructions from Corel with more details to facilitate the rollout to their teams.

Students & academic customers

Academic institutions with CorelDraw Graphics Suite licenses can now enable registered students to install the suite on their home system for free. IT administrators will automatically receive instructions from Corel. Students attending a participating school may request a license through their institution’s IT department directly.

All users, including students, can also sign up for a Gravit Designer account. Corel acquired the cloud-based vector design tool Gravit in 2018 and offers a free version as well as a Pro option for a subscription. Corel promises to provide updates on its offers to customers to help them continue to work through the Coronavirus shutdown.
