Siemens PLM buys TESIS PLMware of Munich

Siemens PLM expands its lifecycle management portfolio with the acquisition of  longtime partner Tesis PLMware of Munich

Founded in 1988, Tesis PLMware of Munich is a software and services company which provides tools to build and expand information systems. Through their partnership, Siemens PLM and Tesis have built integration tools for Siemens Teamcenter in enterprise resource planning systems and other enterprise data systems including manufacturing execution system (MES), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain management (SCM). After the acquisition Tesis will become part of Siemens PLM software.

By any reckoning, the two companies have enjoyed a very long courtship, they have been working together since 1992. Siemens says the acquisition will enable Siemens’ customers to improve their international product development and management systems.

Terms of the deal were not revealed.
