Autodesk Design & Make Awards, formerly known as Autodesk Excellence Awards, honor innovators, technologies, and projects for exceptional contributions to the AEC, product design & manufacturing, and media & entertainment industries. At this time, Autodesk is accepting submissions for its annual awards in these categories: Innovator of the Year, Accelerating Transformation, and Making a Better World. There are also six industry categories.
The winners will be selected by a panel of Autodesk leaders and internal industry experts depending on the following criteria:
- Use of Autodesk solutions, innovative processes, and emerging technologies
- Specific, quantifiable results demonstrating the success that a company/customer has achieved with Autodesk solutions
- Impact on the industry as a whole
The last date to submit entries is July 12, 2023. The winners will be notified via email by August 14, 2023. The winners will be showcased at an awards ceremony to be held at Autodesk University 2023 in Las Vegas in November. They will also receive a complimentary conference pass and a custom-engraved trophy.
The winners of the Design & Make Awards 2022 included the world’s first open-source, configurable autonomous vehicle; complex construction of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and an immersive video game that uses real-time cinematics to bring its characters to life.
About a month ago, Autodesk released 2023 State of Design & Make report, which revealed the importance of attracting and retaining talent to digitally mature organizations. Most importantly, embracing sustainability measures can be a good long-term business decision. The digitalized companies that innovate with sustainability are surely going to make an impact on the industry.
