Dassault Systèmes teams with EskoArtwork to create management tools for packaging, label management

Dassault Systèmes continues to expand its fruitful PLM relationship with Proter & Gamble by announcing a partnership with EskoArtwork, the Belgium-based supplier of hardware and software products for CPG (Consumer Packaging Goods) manufacturing. EskoArtwork has a variety of tools that enable manufacturers to create and manage a complex lineup of artwork for labels, packaging, and signage.

Dassault and EskoArtwork will build a system on Dassault’s Enovia V6 CPG Accelerator and EskoArtwork’s Dynamic Content Module for Adobe Illustrator. They’ll work with Procter & Gamble to develop a streamlined artwork and packaging system.

ArtiosCAD
ArtiosCAD includes tools for the design and manufacture of CPG packaging.

The EskoArtwork system allows artwork to be created and maintained in Illustrator allowing changes to be made easily but at the same time to ensure consistency in terms of color, brand design, required text, bar codes, etc. The XML-based system is optimized for global operations allowing collaborative workflows including online proofing, artwork copy management, and language management. Label copy is managed outside of Illustrator. Inside Illustrator, the boxes for copy are place-marked content to be populated and published automatically. Local and regional changes can be made easily, but compliance with global standards can be maintained. The companies claim they can cut artwork creation from months down to a day.

In addition to EskoArtwork’s Web Center Viewer for Proofing and Dassault’s Enovia Collaboration Platform and the CPG Accelerator, EskoArtwork also offers its ArtiosCAD product for package design and manufacture.
