Rapid-fire two-minute clips from blockbusters and indies alike showcase what it takes to bring excellence in computer graphics to the screen.
Siggraph 2014 will showcase the work of more than 40 computer graphics veterans in the annual Siggraph Dallies next month in Vancouver. Always one of the best-attended events at Siggraph every year, the Dailies celebrate excellence in computer animation with a rapid-fire presentation of behind-the-scenes clips that take attendees into the editing room for both major productions and selected indie efforts.
“Dailies is a very special program because it celebrates the artists who create computer graphics,” noted Mark Elendt, Siggraph 2014 Dailies Chair from Side Effects Software Inc. “The variety of work presented also keeps the event fresh and interesting — there really is something for everyone, including feature film shot break-downs, game art and design, scientific visualization, and even jewelry design.”
