The partnership automates the conversion of CAD data to other native CAD formats including Catia, Creo, NX, and JT.
PLM vendor Aras and 3D CAD data specialist Elysium have launched a partnership that makes Elysium’s 3D CAD translation capabilities available inside Aras Innovator PLM. The solution will automate the conversion of 3D CAD data to other formats, including Catia, Creo, NX, JT, SolidWorks and others, providing companies that run Aras with embedded functionality for CAD data translation, geometry comparison, and data optimization.
The addition of Elysium technology in Aras Innovator will allow users who need access to the same CAD data but are using two different CAD platforms to share the data without leaving the PLM environment. “By embedding Elysium’s CAD translation technology in the Aras PLM platform, companies will be able to overcome interoperability issues and streamline data import to eliminate rework,” said Masahiko Hisatsugu, president of Aras Japan. “Together, Elysium and Aras are making it easier to share and reuse critical product information throughout the enterprise and extended supply chain.”
