Apple submits revised plans for new “spaceship” headquarters

The newest submittal to the Cupertino City Council provides more details on the futuristic plan.

Apple has submitted a revised set of documents regarding its proposal for a new headquarters building in Cupertino, California. Dubbed “Spaceship Apple” when it was first revealed a year ago, the headquarters is now seen by many as a tribute to the late Steve Jobs. The last time Jobs spoke in public he appeared to present the first draft of these plans to the Cupertino City Council.

The images below are taken from the submittal; the complete set of documents, including site drawings and details on the project, can be found on a web page devoted to the Apple project at the City of Cupertino’s website.

Foster and Partners of London is the architectural firm; Arup San Francisco is the consulting engineer; Olin of Philadelphia is the landscape architect; Kier & Wright of Santa Clara is the civil engineering and surveying firm.
