P&P company Aveva acquires 8over8 project control software developer for £26.9

UK based process and power software developer Aveva has announced the acquisition of 8over8. With this acquisition Aveva gets 8over8’s flagship product ProCon a management tool for project control, capital discipline, minimizing project overruns, and delivering improved efficiency in operations. 8over8 is based in Derry, Northern Ireland with offices in North America, Austalia and the Middle East.

Aveva says ProCon connects Owner Operators and Engineering Procurement Construction companies throughout the project lifecycle. The software can be deployed onsite or through a privately managed cloud. Aveva notes that ProCon is already being used in the largest capital-intensive energy products in the world. Aveva paid £26.9 in cash for 8over8.
