‘The History of Visual Magic in Computers’—A summary companion

In his book The History of Visual Magic in Computers—How Beautiful Images are Made in CAD, 3D, VR and AR, Dr. Jon Peddie examines the development of 3D computer graphics, examining the milestones encompassing the hardware, software, techniques, and applications—the building blocks—that have led us to a world filled with beautiful, amazing 3D models and images.

That world continues to grow and evolve with even more sophisticated 3D visuals. This prompted the author to follow up that book with a second edition titled The History of Visual Magic in Computers—How it led to AI, which looks at the unique combination of artistry, technology, and AI used to create realistic and imaginative 3D worlds.

To assist readers on that visual magic journey, Peddie has now completed “The History of Visual Magic in Computers—Chapter Companion and Discussion Guide,” which provides a concise summary of each chapter and the importance the material has in the grand picture, as well as discussion prompts for a deeper understanding of the material covered in each chapter.

The companion guide can be accessed free of charge here.
