Last September, Adobe announced Premiere for mobile, a free app that includes all the video editing essentials Premiere customers use frequently. However, it was only available for the iPhone. This week, Adobe made the popular app available for Android users as well.

 Key capabilities in the Android app include:

• Enhance Audio offers one-tap background noise reduction and clarity improvement for interviews/voice-overs.
• Frame-accurate editing and a multi-track timeline for layering video, music, text, and effects.
• Creator-made templates, plus Adobe Stock assets, music, and effects.
• Editing and export up to 4K.
• No forced login, no upgrade prompts, no watermarks or ads.
• Firefly-powered generative features including Generative Fill, Image-to-Video, Generate Sound Effects.

According to Adobe, more features and capabilities will be coming soon, including Adobe Fonts,  enhanced captions, keyframes, cropping, beat detection, continued editing on Premiere desktop, and more. 

Premiere mobile on Android is available now in the Google Play Store for devices running Android 13 or later, with a minimum of 5 GB of RAM.
