The Alliance for OpenUSD (AOUSD) formed in the summer of 2023 with Pixar’s CTO Steve May as chair. The alliance’s goal is to further the standardization, development, evolution, and growth of OpenUSD. This month, AOUSD began the first in a series of articles spotlighting key luminaries in the OpenUSD framework, with a spotlight on May and USD’s conception at Pixar.
