The recent flooding in Nashville, Tennessee has caused PLM World and the co-located Siemens PLM Connection user group conference to reschedule and relocate.

The new dates are June 27 – July 1 in Dallas, Texas. The hotel is the Dallas Sheraton , Dallas, TX (Hotel Information)

Even organizers note that, by changing to Dallas attendees now have more flight options and a lower hotel cost than the Nashville venue offered.

The original location and date was the Nashville Gaylord Opryland Hotel May 24-27.

In a statement, Siemens PLM Software said “The overwhelming feedback from you, the user community, was to continue to have the conference this year and preferably in the next several months.

After looking for other event sites in Nashville, the conference organizers were encouraged by the Nashville tourism office to go elsewhere because of the sustained damage, cleanup and needed reconstruction effort.

PLM World hopes to sign a contract with a conference hotel in Dallas shortly. Registrations will be maintained, but conference attendees will need to rebook their hotel plans once the new site is set.

Conference management is allowing registered attendees to transfer registration to another person if scheduling is an issue.
