Vectorworks becomes the tenth product for one-click access to 3D check, analyze, repair and print. EOS founder is now largest investor.
The year is starting off with a bang for 3YourMind. After concluding a second financing round in which Dr. Hans J. Langer, founder and CEO of EOS GmbH became the new lead investor of the company, Berlin-based 3YourMind this week announces its tenth plug-in for a professional CAD or DCC product. Vectorworks 2016 users can now download the free utility which allows designers or engineers to check, analyze, repair and send out models for 3D printing.
With one click on the 3D printing extension inside Vectorworks or the nine other supported products (see below), the file is uploaded to the 3YourMind comparison tool, where it can be scaled and previewed in different 3D printing materials available. Users can instantly compare prices for their 3D model and order it online, printed by one of several vendors.
Other software products with a 3YourMind plug-in:
- Trimble SketchUp
- Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks
- Siemens PLM Solid Edge
- Autodesk:
- AutoCAD
- Fusion 360
- Inventor
- 3ds Max
- Blender
- McNeel Rhino
Founded in 2014 as a spin-off company of the Technical University of Berlin, 3YourMind launched its online-platform 3yourmind.com in March 2015. The various plug-ins act as a conduit to the website, which facilitates professional printing of 3D data directly out of CAD programs. 3D-data can be adjusted, edited and sent to comparable printing service providers including Shapeways, i.materialise, Sculpteo and Trinckle.
