Diana Colella becomes first female Canadian SVP of Autodesk’s M&E division

Follow the work, not the titles, believes Diana Colella. She is a veteran Autodesk employee who has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Autodesk’s Media & Entertainment (M&E) vertical solutions group. Colella joined Autodesk through its acquisition of Discreet Logic in 1999. She began as finance business partner and has served in a broad range of roles including product management, product design, worldwide support and services, sales, and operations. She has also become the first female Autodesk executive based in Montreal, Canada and outside the US.

Autodesk’s M&E division oversees the Autodesk products used in film and TV production as well as videogame development. These include Maya, 3ds Max, Mudbox, MotionBuilder, Arnold, etc. Now, Colella will focus on increasing the visibility and strategic focus of M&E division efforts, thus leading the growth in the industry. She said, “It’s truly an exciting time in the Media & Entertainment industry. I’m excited to see Autodesk continue to innovate and adapt to changing market dynamics and am honored to lead the team.”
