The Academy has announced the recipients of the 2025 SciTech Awards, honored for their technical advances and contributions to the motion-picture industry. Among the advances being singled out for this 2025 honor include the Ziva VFX system for constructing and simulating muscles, fat, fascia, and skin; denoising technology from Weta as well as Intel and Nvidia; motion base tech; stabilization software for gimbal systems; burn gel; and more.
