Over the 40 years since the founding of Bentley Systems, a person other than a Bentley brother will be serving as CEO. This follows the retirement of Greg Bentley, who will serve as chairperson of the board. He joins founder Keith, who retired as CTO last year and who had been CEO before Greg took over that position. Nicholas Cumins has been appointed as the new CEO, effective July 1. The Bentley family comprises five brothers, and at one point, all five had been involved in the company, growing it into a global enterprise. Today, four of them serve on the board of directors, including Keith and Greg.
