Years ago, studios were trying to turn films and TV series into games, and they often relied on CGI to pull it off. Today, the tables have turned, and studios are now turning gaming IP into films and series. The reason? Gaming is big, really big, business. Some have been successful in morphing an interactive game into a passive form of entertainment, one that is totally different. For the most part, though, the efforts have fallen flat.
