ProtoTech WebGL Revit Exporter adds Virtual Reality option

VR imagery is designed for smartphone-style VR display.

CAD enhancement specialist ProtoTech has updated its WebGL exporter for Autodesk Revit with the ability to create virtual reality scenes from Revit model data.

When a user of the exporter selects the “VR” option, the model view is split so it can be loaded into a browser on a smartphone, displaying virtual reality stereoscopic imagery when the device is linked with a smartphone-style VR headset. The data will also load on proprietary VR headsets that support WebGL, which includes Facebook Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear, and HTC Vive.

WebGL Exporter works with Revit versions 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
