Nvidia began its GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in 2009 in San Jose, California. Over the years, the conference has grown in scope and, with it, attendance. A plethora of industry experts from across many industry sectors are tapped to speak at this year’s upcoming conference in various capacities, although the main attraction is always Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who delivers a highly anticipated keynote to those in attendance live and those tuning in online. Just prior to Huang taking the stage on March 18, 2025, there will be a podcast hosted by Acquired. It will feature other industry luminaries, who will discuss a segment of Nvidia’s journey over the past three-plus decades. Kicking off this step through history will be Jon Peddie, CEO of Jon Peddie Research.
Nvidia is preparing for its GTC conference, which will take place March 17–21, 2025, in San Jose, California at the SAP Center. The conference, which will focus on AI, computer graphics, data science, machine learning, and autonomous machines, offers a treasure trove of information on these topics for developers, engineers, researchers, inventors, and IT professionals.

Always a highlight of the event, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will provide the keynote, which will take place on March 18, at 10:00 am PT, at the SAP Center concert venue, as he shares how Nvidia’s accelerated computing platform is driving the next wave in AI, digital twins, cloud technologies, and sustainable computing.
This year, there will be a special “Live at Nvidia GTC with Acquired,” a podcast that will set the stage for Huang’s GTC keynote. Conference attendees can take in the pregame, as it will occur just before Huang’s keynote, starting at 8:15 am PT. It will also be streamed live. Hosted by the Acquired podcast team, this event will feature several speakers, well-known leaders in the field, offering valuable insights and interesting stories from Nvidia’s 32-year history. This Nvidia jaunt through history will be presented chronologically in three chapters.
Kicking off this journey through Nvidia’s past to present is Dr. Jon Peddie, president of Jon Peddie Research, as he opens Nvidia’s history book and begins its story in Chapter 1. He will discuss:
- How Nvidia survived and won against 3dfx, ATI, and other competitors.
- The evolution of the GPU market and its impact on the industry.
- Why graphics innovation set the stage for accelerated computing.
This pregame show will be livestreamed on Nvidia’s homepage and YouTube channel.
The GTC conference itself will feature hundreds of sessions and exhibits, as well as offer attendees valuable hands-on technical training and networking opportunities. There are various talks and panels scheduled during the week, as various industry visionaries address conferencegoers; there will also be posters and other goings-on including training labs and full-day workshops.
Additionally, several theater talks are scheduled that focus on a range of AI-specific topics. Also, Connect with the Experts interactive sessions give attendees a unique opportunity to meet, in either a group or one-on-one setting, with those behind Nvidia’s products and research, during which they are able to pose questions.

In addition, there will be a number of two-person Fireside Chats between Nvidia representatives and industry greats in their particular fields of expertise.
There will be a special event titled Sovereign AI Summit, which will explore how nations are embracing AI factories as critical infrastructure for digital transformation and resilience. Featured speakers include government and industry leaders from around the world. It will be held on March 20.
On March 18, there will be an AI Day start-up and VC networking hour, with founders, developers, and venture capitalists after the conclusion of the AI Day sessions. On March 20, there will be a Quantum Day, bringing together the quantum computing community and leaders.
Attendees can choose from a variety of conference passes, including on-site and virtual options.
