Vicon takes ‘stalk’ in ICVFX camera tracking

Active Crown

Vicon has introduced a new offering, Vicon Active Crown, providing clear and stable tracking for virtual production cameras positioned anywhere on in-camera visual effects (ICVFX) stages. The product is a configurable virtual production camera tracking device for stable and robust tracking data. Its detachable magnetic stalks save users time on recalibration. The stalk layout is customizable, and the stalks sport a thin design, preventing self-occlusion, yet provide maximum visibility from multiple camera angles, avoiding occlusion issues, according to the company.
