The Cosmos universe at Chaos is expanding with the addition of tens of thousands of high-quality 3D assets to its model library curated especially for AEC professionals.
The universe appears to be expanding faster than expected, based on scientific research. Meanwhile, in another science realm—computer science—the Cosmos library from Chaos is also expanding, as the company recently added 30,000 high-quality 3D assets to its curated library for AEC pros.

The expansion includes an animated asset collection with the addition of animated people from Anima and from the launch of the AI Material Generator, an AI-powered tool that transforms real-world photos into lifelike 3D materials, leading Stephan Siber, Chaos CEO, to note that Cosmos is not simply growing but also evolving. As a result, users are able to create faster designs and better builds.
Chaos did not achieve this giant library build-out on its own. Rather, it is the result of a partnership with asset creators Evermotion and Globe Plants.
Chaos notes that the expansion of the asset library will continue, as the company will roll them out in batches over the upcoming months, bringing greater variety to the collection with vegetation, vehicles, and furniture, for a more realistic and polished look.
Earlier this year, Chaos added Chaos Scans, ultra-realistic scanned materials, to the Cosmos library. AI Material Generator takes this even further, allowing users to create their own 3D materials from real-world photos.
Next month, Cosmos will be integrated into Enscape, joining V-Ray, Corona, Vantage, and Envision as part of the Chaos unified asset ecosystem. The integration begins with Enscape’s existing library and will expand over time with more than 14,000 additional real-time-ready assets optimized for performance and visual fidelity, Chaos says.
The new assets will be available to all users at no additional cost, although how many will depend on the user’s Chaos suite and tier.
