Chaos has launched Chaos Anima 6, which introduces the first complete traffic simulation system for architectural visualization. Visualization teams can now direct realistic traffic in their designs using ready-to-use vehicles. Combined with Anima’s human library, believable traffic flow is now only a couple of clicks away.

The new traffic system in Chaos Anima (previously Anima ALL) lets users rapidly populate scenes with hundreds of animated vehicles that can obey real-world traffic rules and believably interact with pedestrians. The system will also automatically manage the flow of traffic at intersections, ensuring seamless movement, while providing vehicle dynamics and safe driving with exceptional realism—capturing everything from a vehicle’s suspension and banking to taking turns and waiting for pedestrians.
Vehicles have been added to the Anima library, where they are employed in the same way as people models. This collection offers realistic vehicle behavior, while vehicle colors can be automatically cycled through presets for rapid variation or customized when precision is required.
Anima 6 also introduces a new graphics engine designed for significantly improved performance in large-scale simulations. This upgrade allows for more simultaneous characters and a higher volume of vehicles in real time, making it easier and more efficient to create complex animated scenes with crowd simulations, characters and vehicles.
Anima 6 is available now for Windows, with support for 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, and Unreal Engine.
