Wacom has unveiled a new generation of Wacom Cintiq pen displays—the Cintiq 16, Cintiq 24, and Cintiq 24 touch—combining Wacom’s Pro Pen 3 technology, a compact design, and sharper displays. The new pen displays will be available this summer.

Nearly two and a half decades ago, Wacom introduced its Cintiq interactive creative pen display, optimizing the illustration experience by enabling users to draw directly on the device. Since then, the Cintiq line has expanded and undergone changes in size, capability, features, and more. It’s latest generation is slimmer and more modern in appearance, and offers a step up in technology.

The new lineup comprises the Cintiq 16, Cintiq 24 and Cintiq 24 touch pen displays. The models include the flagship Wacom Pro Pen 3, providing responsive, precise pen strokes resulting from enhanced sampling rate and pressure sensitivity. In addition to the Pro Pen 3, the models have a slimmer design and sharper displays tuned for creative work by artists and designers. 

Available in 16-inch (2560 x 1600 resolution) and 23.8-inch (2560 x 1440 resolution) sizes, the Cintiq line includes Pen-only and a Pen & Touch model (available in the 23.8-inch version only). Direct bonding minimizes the gap between the pen tip and the cursor. Anti-glare etched glass reduces reflections and minimizes eye fatigue, Wacom states.

The flat design with a clean, modern profile supports versatile working angles. Both models are slimmer than their predecessors—the Cintiq 24, for example, is nearly half the thickness of the previous 22-inch model at just 21mm—making them easier to fit into a variety of workspaces. A fanless design ensures quiet operation.

All models support USB-C connection, and the 16-inch model also supports a single-cable setup with power delivery. HDMI and USB-A ports are available on both models as alternative options.

These new Cintiq models will be available this summer.
