The HP Z2 Mini G1a Workstation

With the Z2 Mini G1a Workstation from HP, its small size can be deceptive. Weighing 5 pounds and about the size of a shoebox, it is designed to tackle some hefty work in AI/machine learning and DCC.

JPR’s sister site BabelTechReviews recently put this mini machine through a tough course of testing alongside a much larger and heavier in-house workstation (a high-end consumer PC—described as more of a pseudo workstation).

The BTR review describes the test configuration and software stack of the mini, along with the writer’s initial impression of the mini. It lists the Z2 Mini G1a’s system specs and performance metrics, and details the results of multiple benchmarks that were performed.
