D5 Render has introduced Version 2.9 of the rendering software, adding numerous new tools and enhancements, including an advanced Terrain tool and Phasing Animation functionality, among others. The Community version is still free to use.
D5 Render, with built-in AI capabilities, provides architects, designers, and visualization artists with real-time rendering, so users can see their design changes instantly and make tweaks before finalization. And D5 Render’s intuitive controls enable creation of photorealistic visuals quickly and efficiently, without the user needing a deep level of technical expertise.
A comprehensive visualization tool, D5 Render provides a streamlined workflow from concept to final design. Version 2.9 introduces new tools and enhancements that streamline workflow and help make complex tasks easier to accomplish. The new version contains 19 new features and more than 320 new assets, including terrain sculpting, multi-phase animation features, and more.
The advanced Terrain tool enables users to sculpt realistic, dynamic environments (rolling hills, rugged, uneven terrain, etc.) directly within the software. The brush tool provides precise control over every aspect of shaping, texturing, and detailing. Users can select from preset heightmaps or import their own. Multiple sculpting modes—upward, downward, smooth, and flatten—enable users to fine-tune every contour.
By combining the Terrain tool with D5’s Scatter, natural elements like grass, rocks, and shrubs can be added easily to a scene.
With the Phasing Animation feature in D5 Render 2.9, users can depict construction of a building from the ground up or show how different components of a product fit together. Using pre-designed templates like Drop/Rise or Ascend/Descend, users can import their models and quickly create animations without having to keyframe. Objects can be grouped and arranged, and their order and timing adjusted. Also, effects like rotation and bounce can be added.
Upgraded from the AI Enhancer, a new Post-AI tool combines advanced image processing with AI Style Transfer for unique styles such as watercolor or photorealistic effects.
D5 Render immediately displays any model/texture/lighting changes in a scene.Meanwhile, D5 GI, an advanced global illumination solution, is able to deal with different lighting scenarios in the scenes. With innovative GI Sampling and denoising techniques, D5 offers boosted performance, increased frame rate, and eliminated light leakage or noise, according to the company.
D5 integrates seamlessly with major CAD/BIM solutions including SketchUp, Autodesk 3ds Max and Revit, Graphisoft Archicad, Robert McNeel & Associates Rhino, Blender, and Maxon Cinema 4D, enabling users to work in their favorite modeling software while switching to D5 Render. This 2.9 update provides smoother integration with Rhino, 3ds Max, and Blender, according to the company.
No experience or skills are required to use D5 Render.
D5 Render is free 3D rendering software (Community version), and output of images and animations are free of watermarks. The Pro version costs $30 per month, and the Teams version is priced at $59 per month.
